request an appointmentAre triLift™ treatments the same as Botox® and dermal fillers?
No. triLift, Botox, and dermal fillers all improve the appearance of wrinkly and sagging skin, but they do it in different ways:
triLift treatment
triLift is a noninvasive cosmetic procedure that uses radiofrequency (rf) and ultrasound energy to stimulate specific muscles in your face. The process, called Dynamic Muscle Stimulation (DMSt), increases facial muscle tone.
The tighter and more toned your facial muscles, the smoother and younger-looking your skin appears.
Botox and dermal fillers
Botox and dermal fillers are cosmetic injectables administered with very thin needles.
Botox prevents nerve signals from reaching the muscles in your face, while fillers plump up loose or sagging skin.
Because triLift treatment is noninvasive, there’s no risk of bruising, bleeding, or allergic reactions.
What types of skin issues can triLift treatments address?
The Peninsula Healthcare & Wellness Center team uses triLift treatments to address various skin issues, including:
- Forehead wrinkles
- Fine lines
- Crow’s feet
- Sagging jowls
- Drooping cheeks
- Lost facial volume
triLift can minimize sun damage, improving the texture and appearance of your skin.
How do triLift treatments work?
Aesthetic treatments with triLift take 20-30 minutes.
During your appointment, your Peninsula Healthcare & Wellness Center provider runs a handheld massage-like device across the surface of your cheeks, forehead, and jawline. The device emits targeted radiofrequency and ultrasound energy, causing your facial muscles to contract rapidly.
Giving your facial muscles a light workout causes a facelift-like effect. More specifically, it thickens and strengthens the dermal layer, increases your natural facial volume, and evens out your skin texture.
Can anyone benefit from triLift treatments?
Noninvasive cosmetic triLift treatments are safe and usually well-tolerated, but they aren’t for everyone. That’s particularly true if you have an implantable medical device, like a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other metallic implants. Let your provider know if you have a medical device of any type.
After a review of your health records, physical exam, and discussion of your treatment goals, the team makes personalized care recommendations.
What is recovery like after triLift treatment?
After triLift treatment, it’s normal to have mild swelling and redness. These symptoms usually improve within a day or two, but contact the Peninsula Healthcare & Wellness Center team if they continue or worsen.
